14 Nov Soccer Talks Wins Big for Soccer & Marketing Community
This past Wednesday night, AC&M hosted our very first networking event focused on connecting people in Charlotte with the world of soccer and marketing.
This event was not only a great showcase of soccer, but it was also a testament to the diverse talents at AC&M. The idea, execution, and design were all products of collaboration within our AC&M team.
The event was lead and coordinated by Erika Rasile and Steven Marques, with the main goal being to educate people about soccer and why it is so crucial to capitalize on the passion consumers have for the sport.
We reached out to key people in the Charlotte soccer and marketing communities and beyond, to bring a wide variety of professionals to the event so people could network and connect with the right people.
We hosted the event in the private room of a local bar, creating a vibe that was a cross between a networking event, a happy hour, and a soccer seminar. With about 40 people in attendance from across the Charlotte community, we were certainly pleased with the turn out for our inaugural event.
After letting everyone grab some drinks and mingle, we launched into our series of presentations. Account executive and soccer expert Kyle Toscano presented Soccer 101, a general overview of everything you could ever want to know about soccer, and a basic idea of how that applies to marketing.
His presentation was followed up by Steven Marques who spoke more in-depth about how brands, teams, agencies, etc. can benefit from using grassroots marketing strategies.
All-in-all, the event was a great success! With all the great feedback from our attendees, we are definitely planning on having another Soccer Talks event some time in the coming months.
If you missed out on the first one, be sure to keep your eyes open for updates about our next installment of Soccer Talks. If you were able to attend, we’d like to say thanks again, and we hope to see you at the next event!
