20 Oct AC&M Lights Up the Night for Leukemia Lymphoma Society

Part of our culture at AC&M is getting involved with giving back to our community.

Last year, we helped the non-profit to create Spanish-language materials so that the Hispanic population could learn more about the Light the Night Walk and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS).

This year we wanted to continue our involvement with LLS, so for the second year in a row, AC&M participated in Charlotte’s Light the Night Walk.

Combining our culture with our philanthropic efforts proved for fun, creative fundraising ideas. Together with individual donations, we also raised money and awareness for LLS at the Hola Charlotte Hispanic Festival.

Our fundraising efforts culminated on Saturday, as AC&M Group hit the streets of Charlotte to participate in this year’s Light the Night Walk at Knight’s Stadium.

“As someone who is passionate about community service, I love that AC&M Group is giving me so many great opportunities to volunteer,” says PR Intern Ricky Velez, “From participating in Hola Charlotte to getting the team together for the walk, I’m happy I have a chance to bond with my coworkers while supporting a great cause.”

For me, in particular, the walk was of personal significance, as my dad is a Lymphoma survivor. My family joined the AC&M team for the event, and walked alongside the rest of us who participated in the walk.

To have a company come together to support a great cause, and one that is particularly close to my heart, is an important part of defining our family-inspired culture. Of course, it is always great to come together to support a great cause, but it is also important to support each other as a part of the AC&M family.
