Welcome Our Two Newest Team Members

We are proud to announce we have two new additions to our AC&M family: Mia Voss and Manuel Daza. Mia Voss is currently a freshman at Queens University, studying International Studies and Spanish and playing for the school soccer team. Manuel Daza hails from Colombia, specializing in Systems and Computer Engineering, with a strong passion for soccer.

After a month or so at AC&M, we checked in with Mia and Manuel to see what they’ve learned so far, and how their experiences at AC&M are helping them to grow professionally and personally.

MIAMia Voss, AC&M Intern

What first interested you about wanting to work at AC&M?
As an International Studies and Spanish major, I was eager to work at a multicultural agency. More specifically, I wanted to engage in meaningful work that pertains to my interests, talents, and passions. At AC&M, I have the unique opportunity to combine my love for soccer and Spanish with collaborative and innovative environment.

What do you hope to learn during your time working with us?
While interning at AC&M, I hope to enhance my Spanish communication skills, as well as develop a proficiency in social media and marketing. However, I am interested in all aspects of the company, including design, advertising, PR, and Hispanic culture.

What has been your favorite thing about working at AC&M so far?
After a little over a month at AC&M, I could not be more enthusiastic or grateful for my internship experience! I have greatly enjoyed working with such intelligent and talented people who are passionate about their work. I look forward to each morning where I can interact with a diverse range of talent.

What new skills have you acquired so far? What skills do you want to continue working on?
Already, I have written several blog posts, translated Spanish articles into English, developed a creative brief for a new product, and participated in business meetings. Each new opportunity has challenged me and allowed me to grow both as an employee and an individual. I hope to continue working on marketing projects that appeal to the Hispanic community as well as participate in interactive meetings.

How will the skills you are learning at AC&M help you with your future career?
The skills that I have developed at AC&M will greatly benefit me in my future as an International Studies and Spanish major. After translating blog posts and interacting with the AC&M team, I am more confident in my Spanish comprehension and writing skills. Additionally, I have a better understanding of how to research and compose informative articles for the newsletter. I hope to utilize these skills when I am working in my future career.

MANUELManuel Daza, Social Media Trainee

As a soccer lover, the work that AC&M has done with soccer-related clients is truly remarkable, and that is what first caught my eye. Contributing to soccer-related projects at AC&M has been a dream come true.

What do you hope to learn during your time working with us?
I hope to grow both personally and professionally. Here at AC&M everyone is really good at what they do, but I’m particularly interested in learning a bit of design, as well as become an ace in Social Media.

What has been your favorite thing about working at AC&M so far?
Definitely the people. Being at AC&M is like being part of a family; there’s such a good atmosphere here in the office. You really enjoy coming to work every day, and getting to interact with people that encourage and inspire you.

What new skills have you acquired so far? What skills do you want to continue working on?
I’ve been here for a month, and I have already acquired some good skills that have improved my time management and organization. I want to get really good at social media management, learning from the people I work with.

How will the skills you are learning at AC&M help you with your future career?
As I am in my last semester as a Systems & Computer Engineering student, I think that everything that I will learn here will help me to focus my career in the business arena, where technology is becoming more and more important each day.
